Marching into Transylvania, 1940

A study of Dr. Péter Szabó military historian; „Soldiers from Zala in Transylvania. Documents about the Royal Hungarian 9th Honved Infantry Division’s mobilization and marching into Northern Transylvania, 1940” was published by the National Archives of Hungary Zala County Archives in September 2015. The document book – next to the text sources – also publishes 246 pieces of contemporary amateur photographic recordings which were made by the former participants

In addition to this book, a virtual exhibition was made from the valuable sources which were dropped from the volume due to lack of space or other reasons. It contains 146 photographs of 19 former military officers and honveds. A significant part of the virtual exhibition’s photo materials are linked to Bihar county, which here can be viewed.
